Our Editorial Standards
We are committed to delivering accurate, evidence-based nutrition information with transparency, integrity, and respect for our readers.
Our Core Principles
These five principles guide every piece of content we publish, ensuring our readers receive reliable, balanced nutrition information.
Accuracy
All nutritional claims are verified against peer-reviewed research and reputable scientific sources. We correct errors promptly and transparently.
Transparency
We disclose author credentials, funding sources, and any conflicts of interest. Our editorial process is open and accessible to readers.
Balance
We present multiple viewpoints on nutrition topics where scientific debate exists. We acknowledge limitations and areas of uncertainty.
Independence
Our editorial decisions are made by our team alone. We maintain strict separation between commercial interests and content creation.
Accessibility
We explain complex nutrition concepts in clear, understandable language. Our content serves diverse audiences and backgrounds.
Our Fact-Checking Process
Every article undergoes rigorous verification to ensure accuracy and reliability before publication.
Source Research & Literature Review
Our writers consult peer-reviewed journals, established nutrition organizations, and scientific databases. We prioritize recent research while acknowledging foundational studies that have shaped current understanding.
Expert Review & Verification
Articles are reviewed by registered dietitians, nutritionists, or subject-matter experts. Reviewers verify claims, check citations, and ensure content aligns with current scientific consensus.
Editorial Review & Quality Assurance
Our editorial team checks for clarity, bias, and readability. We verify all statistics, citations, and links. We confirm that language is accessible and disclaimers are appropriately placed.
Continuous Monitoring & Updates
Published articles are periodically reviewed for accuracy. If new research contradicts or updates published information, we revise the article and note the update date. Significant changes are clearly communicated to readers.

Updates vs. Corrections
Corrections:
Fix factual errors, broken links, or misleading statements. These are made when information was wrong in the first place.
Updates:
Reflect new scientific findings, expanded research, or evolving best practices. These acknowledge that nutrition science advances over time, and we incorporate new evidence responsibly.
Author Credentials & Conflicts of Interest
Transparency about who writes our content and any potential influences is essential to editorial integrity.
Author Credentials
We publish only with writers who have:
- Formal education in nutrition, dietetics, or related health fields
- Professional certifications (RD, RDN, LDN, or equivalent)
- Practical experience in nutrition counseling or research
- Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice
Each article displays the author's name, credentials, and brief bio at the end. Readers can verify qualifications and professional affiliations.
Disclosure of Conflicts
We maintain strict editorial independence. Authors and reviewers disclose:
- Financial relationships with food companies or supplement brands
- Consulting agreements or sponsored research
- Personal biases or strong dietary beliefs
- Any relationships that could influence editorial judgment
Conflicts are evaluated. Minor conflicts are disclosed in articles. Significant conflicts may result in reassignment of editorial duties.
